Did you know a snail actually has 20.000 of them? They’re located on the tongue! With most of them, that is. Not this Alpha Slug. That would be too predictable. I didn’t become an artist to be predictable. I became one to make you somewhat uncomfortable, yet fascinated, when you view my designs.
This eerie illustration, created for Inktober 2020 with the prompt “Teeth,” showcases a sinister slug-like creature with a disturbing twist. The intricate linework, meticulously drawn in ink, brings out every unsettling detail of the creature’s form. From its back, a grotesque array of teeth of various shapes and sizes juts out, nestled in a fleshy surface that unnervingly resembles human gums. The creature’s unsettling appearance is further intensified by the vivid coloration done with Copic markers, adding depth and a haunting intensity to this nightmarish creation.
